My name is Dr. Christopher Boss and I am excited to be joining Dr. Justin Nylund at Santa Fe Family Dentistry & Orthodontics. This coming Fall 2021, I will be celebrating 25 years of practicing dentistry.
Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, I graduated from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 1996. In the same year, I also accepted the Student Humanitarian Award.
Having worked in both private practice and public health settings, I started my own practice in Oak Park, Illinois. My practice later merged with a retiring dentist whom gave me the pleasure of experiencing many wonderful patient relationships over the years.
In 2015, I pursued a special opportunity to serve as a dentist for the Navajo Nation in Utah. Following several years in Utah, I moved to New Mexico to work in Mora County until the events of 2020.
Now settling in Santa Fe, I am excited to get out and explore more of the city and mountains. While practicing at Santa Fe Family Dentistry & Orthodontics, I am looking forward to building new patient relationships and building on my professional experience with the technology, excellent staff, and experience of the other dentists.
My partner and I have been living and raising our two kids in Oak Park and Highland Park, Illinois, as well as the beaches of Bridgman, Michigan. Now young adults, our kids are enjoying the move to Santa Fe and all it has to offer.
When I am not in Santa Fe, I head back to Mora where I tend to my flock of Navajo-Churro Sheep, sheep dogs and chickens. While working on the Reservation, I learned of the sheep breed and its historic significance and decided to pursue a dream of having sheep on a pasture. With the help of local mentors, we selected founder sheep and I am now building my flock, selecting for quality fleece type, building fences, and praying for rain.
